Evaluation Question 5
How did you attract your audience?
We attracted our audience by how we actually filmed and used editing in our thriller, for example the fact that it is a thriller alone draws an audience in as a wide range of people enjoy thrillers due to how varied they are; they contain action, fights, good music, romance, comedy, suspense, horror and a allot more."It makes me scared"-Enya 2015
Our "audience" stated that they would like to watch on if this were a real film and shortly after showing these two allot of people in our school were talking about our work.
Our opening holds peoples attention due to the editing and sound, the sound adds a good ambiance to the work and helps build suspense with its timing the camera work was also very well done, especially the "dealing scene" which was filmed from a low angle the whole sense of enigma surrounding that scene is half of the reason why people wanted to keep watching, this is what a lot of thriller movies actually use and since it has worked for them, we used it to draw viewers in as well.

What kind of Media Institution might distribute your media product and why?
Thus question can be split into two parts, the first looks at our product as though it were really going to be made into a film and the second is what is going to happen in reality.
1: if our film were really to be produced then first of all there would be no chance of a major film studio distributing it as this is our first film and there is no guarantee of a profit let alone a big one, it is more likely that an independent studio such as Film 4, BBC or the microwave scheme will distribute it, this is because we are a small group of british film makers.
Even if we were to get this it is still difficult to get it distributed as we would have to look at the different types of distribution; the most likely for us would be a straight to dvd release where there are no prints made for the film and it is shipped of straight to stores where people can buy it, but only if they see it and take a liking to it.
Above this is a simultaneous release where the film is shipped of as DVD's but at the same time it is released on demand and a few prints are sent out to specific cinemas where the film is more likely to be noticed.
Platform release is when a small number of prints are made and shipped out to areas with more diversity where there will be more viewers, this would be the highest our film got on this list.
Of course above this is wide release where the film is distributed over a massive area, even world wide with a lot of prints made or even sent digitally due to the range of where it will be going.
2: In reality we have no chance of getting these types of distribution as we haven't even made a finished film, all we have are a few minutes of an opening.
Therefore it is up to us to distribute our own film, we can do this in a few ways though they are all similar, first of all we can post it on youtube and after that we just have to advertise it; this can be done through word of mouth or through social media such as Facebook or Twitter.
